Welcome to my blog home. If you are new to my blog, HERE is my testimony, and HERE. Go HERE to find out what God is doing, right now, in my heart.

I am a Christian wife and mother. I strive to be that Proverbs 31 Women, but I am nowhere near that goal. My blog is full of faith, fun, whimsy (Grace's Style Tip Fridays), and some GREAT recipes (Tempt My Tummy Tuesday blog carnival). I hope you will come back, anytime.

Tempt My Tummy Tuesday.. Ultimate "C.C.C."!

Hello everyone and welcome to Tempt My Tummy Tuesday. My sister, Lana, and I co-host this blog carnival. We share recipes, kitchen and cooking tips, restaurant reviews, and anything food related that you want to share. You know the rule of a blog carnival, please mention the blog or TMTT in your post and link back to Blessed with Grace blog. Don't forget to use Mr. Linky, down below.

Over fifteen years ago, I was given a great wedding gift. A dear friend shared her favorite recipes, writing them on recipe cards and putting them in a book. What a great personal gift that was. Good idea, huh? It is fairly inexpensive, just the cost of recipe cards and a notebook to store them.

So, here is her Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie recipe.

The Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup shortening (butter flavored)
  • 1 1/ 4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 2 TBSP milk
  • 1 TBSP vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup pecan pieces (optional)
Directions:
  1. Heat oven 375.
  2. Mix first 4 ingredients until creamy.
  3. Beat in egg.
  4. Mix next 3 ingredients. Add to first mixture and mix until well blended.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Mix well.
  6. Bake 8 to 10 minutes for chewy, 11-13 minutes for crispy. Yields 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
Finally for a little something different. I subscribe to Food for Thought at Cooking.com. I just checked my email inbox and there was a link to a Glazed Chocolate-Pumpkin Bundt Cake. YUM!! Sounds good to me. So, HERE is the link. Enjoy!

Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies. I know they are one of my husband's favorites! I'll have to try this recipe. Honestly, I always use the recipe off the Nestle chocolate chip package and love it. However, I'm always willing to try (and taste) a new one. :)

There are so many variations of the CCC, but we have one that is our favorite too. They're all so similar, yet all a bit different. Hmmm, sort of like people!

I posted a bread recipe today!
