I am a Christian wife and mother. I strive to be that Proverbs 31 Women, but I am nowhere near that goal. My blog is full of faith, fun, whimsy (Grace's Style Tip Fridays), and some GREAT recipes (Tempt My Tummy Tuesday blog carnival). I hope you will come back, anytime.

I have a BIG Children's Books giveaways (2 prizes)

Some thankful thoughts...

First of all, I attached this picture of Grace because it makes me smile. We had just arrived home, after 5 hours in a car. We turned on the water sprinkler, put her in a bathing suit and let her burn off some energy!!

I am so thankful for her. She brings laughter and smiles, daily.... hourly... She is a blessing to me and my husband.

My faithful few followers know that Chris, my hubby, was laid off at the end of May. I am pleased to say that he has a temporary job. It started this week. He is working as a consultant, for a local hospital. He expects the job to last for (hopefully) about two months. Of course, when you are working for yourself in a consultant position, there are not benefits. So, we know that more steady, or permanent work is nice.

Here is my Thankful List:
  • consulting job for hubby
  • it will bring in money to keep the bills paid
  • we have never gone without during this time without a job
  • God remains in control
  • we have health insurance through Cobra
  • my husband is VERY HAPPY!
  • for Gracie....she is so funny!
  • God will provide for all our needs
I have to say, my husband is so happy. There is a little light shining in his eyes again. The past few months have been difficult and then the lay off really hit hard, for him. I know that a man needs to feel he is able to provide for his family. My hubby is a Type A, workaholic kind of a guy. This personality without work is not good. So, I am happy for him that the work is good and something he enjoys.

I am grateful to God for all he continues to do for us. I am thankful for all the people who have been and continue to pray for us. I have received emails from old friends.... people I haven't really seen in years...sending me emails that God was urging them to pray for us. What a wonderful thing to know that people are praying for you when you don't even know it. The Holy Spirit is amazing. By the way, if you ever keep thinking about someone, feel an urge to pray for them, or send them a note.... DO IT! That is the Holy Spirit giving you a BIG NUDGE!

Thanks to you, my blog friends who have also sent me sweet and encouraging emails and comments.

I am THANKFUL for you, as well.

AWESOME! I'm so glad that things are looking up. Will pray that this turns into something permanent...or leads to something permanent.
