Welcome to my blog home. If you are new to my blog, HERE is my testimony, and HERE. Go HERE to find out what God is doing, right now, in my heart.

I am a Christian wife and mother. I strive to be that Proverbs 31 Women, but I am nowhere near that goal. My blog is full of faith, fun, whimsy (Grace's Style Tip Fridays), and some GREAT recipes (Tempt My Tummy Tuesday blog carnival). I hope you will come back, anytime.

Tempt My Tummy Tuesday.... The Rotisserie Chicken

Hello everyone and welcome to Tempt My Tummy Tuesday. Glad to have you join us. My sister, Lana, and I co-host this blog carnival. We share recipes, kitchen and cooking tips, and anything food related that you want to share. So, join the fun. Write your foodie post and then link back to my blog, mentioning Tempt My Tummy Tuesday. Don't forget to leave your link info, below, with Mr. Linky.
I hate to go here, but, I have to. Please only leave a link if you have written a post that is appropriate for TMTT. Please mention TMTT in your post, and link back to my master list here. I will delete any link that does not mention this blog and or TMTT. Sorry to have to go here. Most you do this, we are just trying to keep it fair for those of you who follow the rules.

Ahh, the rotisserie chicken. I love the convenience of the rotisserie chicken. Have you bought one at your local grocery store, or at Walmart? There are so many meal options with the rotisserie chicken.

(BTW, what is up with this poor chicken? He lost his wing. Very sad.)
Here are a few favorite meal options that you can make, using a rotisserie chicken. I thought I would link some of our TMTT bloggers, who have shared some chicken recipes. All of these can be made using the precooked rotisserie chicken.
  1. The Best Chicken Salad (me)
  2. Tortilla Soup (Deanna)
  3. Chicken Spaghetti (~LL~)
  4. Chicken soft tacos
  5. Chicken Enchiladas (Newlyweds)
  6. Chicken Stew (Deanna)
  7. Layered Chicken (Tara)
  8. Chicken Noodle Casserole (Lynn)
So, next time you want to make something good, and want to do it the easy way, go and get the rotisserie chicken. By the way, lots of times Grace and I just eat it, off the bone. No recipe needed for that. Just make a salad, cook up some veggies, and there you go.

Okay, go and post something foodie and link up. Also, make sure you visit Lana's website and leave her some comment love. Her family is sick and she could use some kind words.

Working on mine now my lovely! And I agree on your comments in red. I notice one post in particular is the same for ALL carnivals.. very frustrating as a new reader to their blog. Now I just avoid going there.

Mmmm, rotisserie chicken! Yum! We just eat it right off the bone, usually with deli potato salad or chips. Great flavor and a super quick meal. Now I'm hungry for chicken, and it's only 6:30 in the morning LOL!

Hi there! I agree with your note as well. I see people do that everywhere with different carnivals. What's worse are those just trying to sell something and they go to all links.

I love rotisserie chicken too. I don't think I realized until this weekend how economical they are too. Whole chickens were on sale at Kroger for like 99 cents a lb. (or something like that), so I bought one and cooked it whole in the crockpot. It cost over $4 for the chicken and I can get a rotisserie chicken for about $5.99, so it hardly seemed worth the trouble to season and cook it all day in the crockpot.

Aren't these rotisserie chickens a time saver? I buy them when they're buy one get one free and freeze some for future week night meals.

I will have to try some of these! I'm trying a chicken spaghetti recipe from newlyweds Thursday, and I might just use a rotisserie chicken for that!

I've never bought a rotisserie chicken, but I do stick a whole one in the crock pot overnight and use it for recipes. This week it's chicken pot pie. I like having the broth/stock... but I think you could maybe do that with the rotisserie, too, right?
